My good friend Ginger Gatling has taken over the baton (see cover) and produced a 2nd edition of the book due out in May including the following new topics:
- ABAP and Java usage,
- Alloy,
- Duet,
- UI technologies,
- Universal Worklist,
- Upgrading,
- Workflow reporting with SAP NetWeaver BW...
Jocelyn Dart remains as the only original author with the rest of us falling by the wayside. (I've spent the last 2 years producing Alloy, the Lotus Notes/SAP integration)
The proceeds go to Doctors Without Borders which is a generous and noble gesture from all the other authors.
Good luck with the new book Ginger, Jocelyn et al :-)

There's a new book out about SAP Exchange Infrastructure featuring a whole chapter on cross-component BPM which complements our workflow book nicely.
The authors are Jens Stumpe from development and Joachim Orb from consulting so once again we have the ideal mix for a great knowledge product.
Only the German version is available at the moment but expect an english translation soon.

Apparently the book is now available in Japanese (in Japan). I haven't been able to confirm with the publisher and I can't read the description myself but maybe someone else can confirm this by checking out this link.

A number of people have requested a sample of the book to get a feel for the style. I have not gone through the approval process with our publisher so for the time being, here's a sample of writing which is typical of the style used in the book.

You will need to register to access this Website but it is free (and useful).
The book does not touch on the SAP Exchange Infrastructure (although parts of the WebFlow engine software are reused in this product). It is true that WebFlow (people management) together with the SAP Exchange Infrastructure (process automation accross system boundaries) cover the BPM suite (BPM=Business Process Management). However it is important to realise that this book alone does not fully show SAP's direction in respect to BPM - it just covers the workflow aspect.
